Hypnosis Top Concerns

Ok, so you’re kind nervous about hypnosis and hypnotherapy, let me clear up those questions right away.

What Is Hypnosis? How Does Hypnosis Work with Therapy?

Hypnosis is simply a very relaxed state in which your mind is more susceptible to suggestion.  In hypnosis we use this suggestibility to your advantage, so you will more easily make the choices in your life that will take you in the direction you want to go.

Will I Fall Asleep During A Hypnotherapy Session?

No. You will be in a very peaceful, tranquil state, but you will be aware of my voice and your mind will paint pictures or create feelings from the words I’m speaking to you. Your awareness may occasionally drift away and come back, and that is completely normal and does not reduce the effectiveness of the suggestion.

Does Hypnosis Work On Everyone?

Anyone can be hypnotized. It is a very natural relaxed state that is quite enjoyable. I also have methods for knowing whether my client is in hypnosis before I continue, and I know exactly what to do if it takes you a little longer than average.

Will I Be Under Your Control?

No, not at all. In fact, the goal of hypnotherapy is to catalyze the client to have more power to direct their lives toward their greatest desires.

What Is Hypnotherapy Used For?

The short answer is that it can be used for anything you want to change in your life. Hypnosis makes it easier to overcome obstacles in the way of your dreams.  The long answer is that it’s great for reducing anxiety, removing emotional triggers, changing relationship dynamics, weight loss, removing harmful or destructive habits, sports performance, and overall emotional health. Hypnotherapy Questions

Want to know more about my sessions and how they work? Ok, let’s dive into those top asked questions.

How long are the hypnotherapy sessions?

90 minutes. For the first half, we will simply be talking so that I can fully understand the issue in all its nuances. I need to understand how you’re experiencing it as if I’m living it myself. This portion often provides you with insights as well, and you will likely experience some “aha moments” that give you clarity on what’s in the way and what type of change is needed at the core. The second half is the hypnosis portion.

How can I optimize the result of my session?

Tune into the desire and passion for the change you want to see. A client who truly wants change will benefit the most from hypnosis. Also, any kind of mindfulness practice supports this work very well. If you already journal, meditate, exercise, pray, or practice in any similar way, it will increase the effectiveness of the hypnosis. I also offer a self-hypnosis practice that further supports you and is included in my price. If you are interested in that, I’ll guide you through it.

What Does the second half hypnosis do?

In the second half I tailor a specific hypnosis session for you that will powerfully motivate you from within to make the changes necessary for things to shift in your life. I use an array of techniques that can unlock limiting beliefs and make you highly motivated towards new action. We will cover all these details in an initial cost-free consultation as well, so you’ll have a chance to ask any lingering questions and decide for yourself if it feels right for you.

How many hypnotherapy sessions will I need?

While nearly every client sees positive change after the first session, in order for the change to be long term and lasting, it takes from 3 to 5 appointments, depending on the complexity of the issue they are dealing with. Some people also choose to continue sporadically after those sessions because they enjoy the process, but not because it’s necessary.
